Dog Leg Half Marathon
The Dog Leg Half Marathon is a celebration of the bond between runner and canine running partner. Both you and your running buddy will be chip timed and receive Finisher Medals when you cross the Finish Line!
You and your partner will be the center of a lot of attention 🐕 enjoy the well-deserved kudos! Thank you, and your four legged friend, for spreading smiles along the course!
Aid Stations
This out and back course has Aid Stations runners visit twice. The Aid Stations are spaced every 1 – 3 miles along the course. Aid stations will have water Gatorade, bananas, GU and gummy bears. There are dozens of Port-a-Potties at the Race Start and Race Finish Area and at most Aid Stations.
Live Results
Live results, including Half Marathon turnaround splits, are available during the event at the Finish Area Results Tent and on the website. The chips do not do live tracking of athletes.
Chip Timing
Your chip time starts when you cross the start line. Make certain your bib number is visible when crossing the finish line. The bibs are disposable. If you have any timing concerns please speak with the timing company near the Finish Line Announcers Tent.
Half Marathon runners self-select their start field. Your chip time starts when you cross the start line.

Half Marathon Relay
Relay Half Marathon: The first relay runner runs to the Half Marathon Turnaround in Mosier. The second runner drives to Mosier, walks up the trail to the Half Marathon Turnaround, and completes the second half of the Half Marathon.
Relay Driving Directions:
It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Mosier on I-84 from Hood River. Get off the freeway at exit 69 and follow the signs for the Scenic Columbia Highway trail head. Park at the Trailhead parking lot and walk up the trail a half mile to the Half Marathon Turnaround.
